6 Amazing Video Email Clients Review

We might not be able to create J K Rowling’s magical world from Harry Potter  into our lives. Newspapers with moving images, photographs from which people disappear and come back when they are free again are partially, part of a much more advanced lifestyle preserving the traditional way of life. Now this is not a review to the Harry Potter series, instead what follows, simply presents another advancement which could be magical.

Evolving from the simple text email to rich text, then embedding images, moving images(gif); welcome to the world of video email. Emotion to text conversion or feelings to image(s) conversion would never be as perfect as emotion in video, and it is precisely this point that creates appeal to video email. Some of us might actually think how video email could be useful enough when video conferencing and video chatting is well established. But video email might be a hit, just the way email is still being used abundantly even when text chatting, sms and telephone is available.

Eyejot

eyejot

The best thing about eye jot is that they convince you on how simple and wonderful video emails could be. Eyejot is a free and simple to use video email client that has minimal system requirements. Eyejot works on almost any browser and the only additional requirement they ask is Adobe Flash Player, which actually is a basic. Obviously you would need a camera to capture the video unless you chose to upload a previously recorded video from your disk.

User could create an account with eye jot and send the video email as easily as sending an ordinary email. One could capture the video using the web cam or upload the video and send it. The recipient of your mail receives your mail and could view it very easily. The best thing is that he need not be an eye jot user to view the (video) email. Eyejot also offers a widget, which could be embedded to personal pages, blogs or websites.

The simple, easy to use interface of the mail client allows users to send video-mail messages as simple as sending an ordinary email. Atmail uses the FLV/flash encoding format to send video emails, and thus the system requirement expected is very minimal.

One could maintain a video database and manage it, with the client offering services like search. Video emails could be send to multiple ids and even be forwarded to many.

The service comes at no extra cost to the registered atmail user. The flash plug in (which is common with almost all browsers) is required for atmail to work.

Goodmail the pioneers in mail service has introduced yet another widget which enhances multimedia services. The video mail service is imparted using an adobe flash player widget that enables users to view video from within their email client itself. The video service is expected to be extremely customizable in the duration of the video, the player which is to be embedded, style of the player and so on.
