People with more advanced needs might want to look for a different web host, but for the price and features you get, 1&1 is great. A lot of the features are just bloated to make a features list bigger as a lot of web hosts are. The pricing plans, I have found to be great, they often do multiple months free, with affordable pricing thereafter, and they include domains with a hosting account (for as long as you host with them.) Support is very lacking, I usually get an outsourced phone agent who simply directs me to the FAQs after taking some time to figure out what I am asking them. Overall, I would say that I am very happy with my experience with 1and1, but some things could change (most notably, i would love to see them offer, yearly payment plans instead of evey 6 months.)
